Shakel Wilson

My Story: The Heart Behind My Work

Shakel Wilson is a proud Dallas native from Oak Cliff, Texas. She graduated from Paul Quinn College in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology. In 2015, she earned her 4–8 Science Teacher Certification and completed her MBA in Human Resource Management. She is currently working toward her CCP certification.

Starting Over was founded in 2011 and grew from Shakel’s passion for giving back to her community. What began as volunteering, supporting those in need, and offering encouragement wherever it was needed has grown into a mission rooted in service. Guided by her Christian faith, Shakel believes everyone has the ability to uplift others. Through her leadership, compassion, and dedication, she continues to empower individuals and strengthen the community she serves.
